Some could decide to really record meetings and interviews but taking the time to listen to the records at a later stage may get tedious, inconvenient and time-consuming.
At a teaching environment notes want to not be overly pedantic and precise. Identifying the salient points helps in pinpointing the important key facets that were delivered. Learning these as bullet points helps prioritize themsome points are more, less crucial to understand. Doing so may help to avoid becoming overwhelmed by too much information. Notes may be utilized to stimulate additional thought, discussion and study. Students aren’t intended to become clones of their lecturer. They are intended to learn and become free-thinking people who take what they have been taught and make it grow and eventually become the cornerstone of their upcoming work and studies. Write up notes as soon as possible after they’ve been taken. Otherwise the relevance could be dropped and a few of the points may become forgotten or uncertain. Putting the notes into a lucid, cohesive arrangement can turn them into a meaningful reminder of what has been heard.
A few notes may be immediately obtained in session, but a client is there for attention and treatment, not to give dictation and so short and succinct notes are helpful particularly after the first session when the case history has been taken. Again, some matters a client says will probably be more significant than others. Establishing bullet points is useful, as is having the ability to explain which problems are more crucial than others. Accessing which order these regions will need to be dealt with can be easily identified with clear, legible notice taking.
Artists frequently use notes with their paintings. Reminders of colors, structures, the type of light, structure of the painting are all useful adjuncts to this painting itself.
